A Somatic approach to therapy

Somatic Psychotherapy takes into consideration that our mental being and physical being is connected. The input of our experiences, our emotions, beliefs and the way in which we make meaning all contribute to how we hold ourselves, how we move, how we breathe, how we feel.

I approach my work with a somatic lens. This is relevant for every body. Like myself-you may be interested in this approach because you have experienced an emotional or psychological shift in a body work or movement class and want to explore further what is present.

I will work with you in exploring through refined self awareness, bodily sensations, holding patterns, beliefs. Inviting movement and shift towards needed liberation and healing.

My interest in and personal experience with healing and somatics has propelled my studies. I  graduated in 2012 from the California Institute of Integral Studies with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology. I have participated in many trainings in the areas of conscious dance, yoga, and expressive arts therapy.
